Frequently Asked Questions (I'm reading your mind)

Why did you choose DIYBebe! as the name?

Now that's a good question. My husband and I only refer to each other as Bebe...unless one of us is mad (then you get called by your actual name). We even start and end emails that way. We answer the phone that way if we know it's each other (it's really embarrassing when it turns out it's not). Remarkably, it's also one of my nicknames from grade school and what I used for all my secret pin codes (greeeat, now I have to go change em). So it just seemed fitting. You can say it many different ways--"DIY, Bebe!" or "DIYBebe." or even, "D-I-Y-BEBE!" (Bebe is pronounced beh-beh.)

Don't you do video? Why did you make this a blog and not a vlog?

I thought about making this a vlog but 1) I edit videos all day for my real job, and 2) I already have a vlog! ALSO, when I'm combing the interwebs for this kind of info, I'd personally much rather skim through a page and scroll right on down to the recipe than be held hostage by a video that is droning on and on (even worse, a podcast). Just give me the goods! Not that I don't love watching youtube and listening to podcasts, but there's the right medium and platform for

every subject. I also want to use this as my personal recipe catalog. So that I can come back to tried and true mixes time and again without having to search for them on pinterest or wherever. I'd rather read the shtuff than scrub through a video.

Why do you use the word "shtuff" so much? Is that even a word?

"Shtuff" is my made-up euphemism (did I use that correctly?) for shit, which is what I'd like to say, but for the sake of being PC, a good Christian, and PG, I'll switch it mid-word to STUFF.

If you ask me a question in a blog comment or email (PLEASE DO!), and it becomes a common question, I'll post the answer here.
