Hair Sculpting Wax

My husband thought to himself, "Wow, she actually created something useful that works..." as he sculpted his hair with this wax for the first time. But then when he went to wash it off his hands with water, it didn't come off. That's the problem with this hair wax that I can't seem to figure out--how to get it off your hands without using soap. I guess for now you just have to use soap to wash it off your hands or rub it all over your hands as a protective moisture barrier (if you don't mind leaving handprints on everything). Also, it doesn't dry dull, it has a shine to it. So those are my 2 disclaimers for this DIY product.

I really had hoped I could get the men in this household to stop buying expensive and chemically-laden hair paste. Not this time. But maybe there are other guys out there who wouldn't mind the minor inconveniences of being chemical free! Ah-hem!

Ingredients:

3 Tbsp beeswax

2 Tbsp shea butter

1 Tbsp apricot oil

1 Tbsp argan oil

2 capsules vitamin E oil

3 drops juniper berry EO

3 drops patchouli EO

2 drops cedarwood EO

Directions:

Fill a pot with 2" of water, bring water to a boil on the stove on med high, then turn down to low

Place a mason jar in the pot, creating a double boiler

Add shea butter and beeswax, stir until melted

Remove from heat

Stir in apricot and argan oil

Let cool for 5 min.

Use a pin, knife or scissors to cut open vitamin E capsules and empty oil into mixture

Keep stirring

After 5 min (it'll take you that long to get all the capsules emptied), add essential oils

Pour into your clean storage container

It smells so manly. I promise you--the ladies will swoon when you walk by. Or at least when they bury their noses in your perfectly sculpted hair.
