My best brush ever

Honestly my hair is lucky I even run my fingers through it. I only started caring about my hairbrush when I started on this no-poo trip because I was concerned about moving the oil from my roots to tips. Supposedly this boar bristle hairbrush does precisely that.

The bristles actually absorb oils from your scalp so it helps to condition your hair while you’re brushing it.

Natural Boar Bristle Brush Benefits

  • Conditions your hair naturally by distributing the sebaceous oils from your scalp to hair tips.

  • Promotes healthy hair growth by massaging the scalp, increasing blood flow and unclogging hair follicles.

  • Creates a natural shine.

  • Cleans your hair - this is not intuitive, but the brush grabs the oils that's weighing down your hair at the roots, while also picking up the dust, dirt and fuzz on your hair like a magnet to metal. So you end up having to clean your brush more often because it works like a pledge sponge!

  • It gives hair strength, preventing breakage.

  • Prevents hair from falling out.

  • Detangles - especially if you get the kind with nylon pins like I have.

  • Gets rid of static electricity in your hair.

  • Boar bristle brushes are 100% natural & chemical free.

  • Everything is handmade - no machine oils or other substances are used in the process

  • It lasts forever (so far...)

Nah, I'm not vegan anymore. I try to eat clean most days, but I pretty much am back to carnivorous ways. Still I am thinking I may have a nutrient deficiency, so I will look into the collagen and biotin for sure. Thanks, Corrine!

Yes, they are supplements and I realize after I said it that you might not want to try collagen as are you vegan now? So ... probably you wouldn't want to try regular collagen but they do have plant based/vegan ones too! Collagen and biotin are for hair, skin, nails. But if you eat well you probably don't need these... I don't eat very well so I need help!

Corrine--Are collagen and biotin both for hair? I haven't looked into or tried any supplements...I'm not a huge supplement person...don't know a lot about them or what's out there. I should probably look. I just try to eat avocado, fish, etc. for the omega-3 fatty acids! That's good for hair, skin, nails right?

I had so much hair as a child... now it's way less but whenever I tell whoever cuts my hair they are like, "you still have so much hair." And they tell me not to worry. So I feel happy to hear that but still, I see my bathroom floor! I see baby hairs too... Have you tried any collagen? I am taking this collagen powder that I mix with my coffee and I was taking biotin for awhile but haven't been consistent with that lately...

Increased hair fall out just comes with getting older, I'm afraid. We can fight it every step of the way tho! I definitely can see rapid hair growth and lots of new baby hairs growing along my hairline and I know it's the result of trying all these things--especially the essential oils and scalp massage.
